Supporting Common Good Economics in Bavaria: Donations and Long-Term Patrons

About Our Mission

Effie: Insights

The Gemeinwohl-Ökonomie Bayern e.V. has dedicated itself to providing structure to the Common Good Economic activities in Bavaria. We strive to develop and disseminate ideas in concert with our members, shaping the economic landscape into one that aligns closely with our regional needs and values. Your contribution plays a crucial role in this endeavor.

The Value of Your Donation

Your generosity is of immense value to us. With each donation, we expand our community of supporters with whom we can collaboratively design an economy based on the common good. Donations are fundamental for us to fulfill our mission, details of which are outlined in our constitution, accessible on our website. Should you wish to contribute to our cause, please direct your donation to the banking details provided.

Looking for Financial Support: NFI Campaign

We will not turn our backs on Mali and its neighbours

We are currently seeking financial support for our campaign to incorporate the Common Good Balance Sheet within the implementation of the EU Directive on non-financial reporting into German law, known as the NFI campaign. This initiative requires €50,000 to fund a dedicated position, of which €11,000 has already been pledged by donors.

EU NFI Directive and the German Legislation

Starting January 1, 2017, companies of public interest with more than 500 employees in the EU will be required to disclose non-financial information alongside their financial reports. This NFI Directive, ratified by the European Council and Parliament, must be transposed into national law by the end of the year. The German Bundestag is slated to vote on the matter soon. Our movement aims to raise awareness among legislators about the Common Good Balance Sheet and integrate it into German law. In collaboration with other NGOs in Germany, we also plan to develop a long-term global strategy for the convergence of ethical and financial reporting.

Our movement has already provided a position statement to the BMJV, following preliminary work at the European level. With the time remaining until the legislative decision, we set a realistic goal for the Common Good Balance Sheet to be recognized as a non-financial reporting method, increasing awareness of Common Good Economics and alleviating the reporting burden on our pioneer companies. A candidate for the position has been identified and is scheduled to start soon. Even after the parliamentary decision, we will continue our advocacy work, for which we solicit continued financial support.

Uniting Travel with Common Good Economics

Sustainable travel inspires a connection with local economies, communities, and environments. Embracing the principles of the Common Good Economics even while traveling can foster a model of tourism that prioritizes the well-being of destinations and their inhabitants. Your donations help us champion these values, creating a synergy between your love for travel and your support for a just and sustainable economy at home and abroad.
